Another popcorn2stamp Card

Followed the Inspiration Challenge over at Splitcoaststampers : IC423. The challenge was to select something from globaltable.com to use as inspiration. I selected the stack of colorful bowls and used it to create my colorful background. Love using bright colors for a child's card and was happy to use scraps again, too! I posted the inside of the card, too to show the fun two-step stamping used to add color to the popcorn. I found out that my ink is not that juicy anymore, but that actually created a more shaded look. TFL!

Purple Roses with Swirls

For this card, I inked the embossing folder with Versamark before embossing. I like how it brings out the swirls, but still not sure it came out as well as I would have liked. Will have to try that again. Colored the roses with copics. I think B00 was a bit too bright for the shadows...need to buy an even lighter shade for next time! TFL!

What's Poppin'?

The super cold weather here in the Midwest affected our mail delivery. When my popcorn2stamp stamps (TSOL) finally arrived, we had to make popcorn to celebrate! What a fun set! I used sketch SC472 from Splitcoaststampers for inspiration. I used the popcorn container rather than a circle for my main image and used circle stamps from the back2basics set to create the blue dotted background. And I got to use some of my scraps for the small popcorn! Love using those scraps!

My first Gate Fold Card

Here's another card I made recently...for a young women who just earned her Doctorate. I was playing around with my new dies (well, actually I've had them for months but just now finally had a chance to play with them!) and ended up using my 'sample' because it was just so pretty! LOVE this new die set, "Layered Elegnat Swirl" from Heartfelt Creations! Just got a Big Shot for Christmas, but was a little disappointed to find it's not as wide as the WIzard, so I couldn't make the card any longer. Luckily, I got an Envelope Punch Board, so now I can have an envelope no matter what size my card ends up! Am looking foward to making more cards with this die!

My first post for the new year....gratefully, I have had time to craft, but finding the time to post is another story...

So here is my attempt to follow last Sunday's Challenge over at Splitcoaststampers. I used Joy Taylor's Your Awesome card to CASE. Am excited that I made a Valentine for my husband early - now I just hope I remember to look for it next month!

I am trying to use supplies in my stash, so I am happy to have put this Basic Grey's Little Black Dress collection to good use. I am also very happy with the way the 'random' placement of the gems came out....I actually copied her design as exactly as possible ('random' is not easy for me!).
