Getting into the holiday spirit early - had to set aside my Thanksgiving papers to accommodate this design which was inspired by Sketch #760 at Freshly Made Sketches. The car
ds the designers make are so impressive....it took me a long time before I decided on how I was going to interpret the sketch. Got it in just under the wire! Yay!
I used red glittery washi tape for the candle. Unfortunately, it was impossible to stamp the image onto the washi tape, so I had to cut the center of the candle out of the image that was stamped on white card stock. After I carefully glued the washi tape behind the opening, I dragged out my colored pencils and colored the melted wax on top as well as the candle holder. I then added a bit of sparkle to the colored areas. Cut several branches from green foil paper, and adhered all to the silver foil paper that I cut using the Tickle Breeze die. Mounted it all onto red foil - I only wish the camera could pick up the red foil peeking through the die better. Thanks for the inspiration, FMS!

This is such a wonderful Christmas card! I just love that glittery candle! Love that silver background as well! Thanks for joining us this week at Freshly Made Sketches!
