Made this card for my nephew's recent Confirmation. Used the SC481 Sketch from this wednesday's challenge at Splitcoaststampers. Simple layout, but I liked it. Took longer to photograph, edit and post than to make the card. Looking forward to upgrading my computer soon!! Thanks so much for looking!

Happy Birthday in Blue
Today I am sharing the card I made for my mother-in-law's 80th birthday. Her favorite color is blue, which is a challenge for me as most of my papers are every color but blue! My SEI assortment pack saved me! I CASEd a beautiful card I found on http://gloriascraps.blogspot.com. The web is just filled with inspiration! TFL!
Supplies used:
Paper: SEI Thinking of You
Dies: Spellbinders Nestabilities Classic Scalloped Circles Large and Standard Circles Large
Stamped sentiment: TSOL: crazy4daisies
Ribbon from my stash

Sweet 16
The third daughter of my sister will be turning 16 next week. I think this paper from The Paper Studio is perfect...I actually used the same paper for my other two nieces' 16th birthdays. I had a hard time die-cutting the numbers, as I used double-sided tape so I could add some pink glitter. The black scalloped circle got rather messy after the glitter was applied, so I scraped it off the best I could and then added Glossy Accents to the whole scalloped circle embellishment. Now it glitters and shines! Hope she likes the card. TFL!
Supplies Used:
Paper: The Paper Studio
Dies: TSOL flower2doodle, Sizzix Graffiti
Other: flower punch, EK Success Border Punches, Ribbon, Flourish Stickers, Sparkle N Sprinkle Glitter (Mauvelous), Glossy Accents, Ribbon

Frosted Swirly Hello
Tried to do the double-embossing I saw over at Sparkle N Sprinkle here: http://sparklensprinkle.com/techniques_detail.php?title_keyword=double_embossed.
I am guessing my versamark ink pad was not juicy enough as I couldn't get it to work when I tried to apply it directly to my embossing folder. Instead, I just inked the design after I embossed and THEN heat embossed. For some subtle background color, I added a bit of Tim Holtz Distress Ink in Spun Sugar. Milled Lavender and Tumbled Glass.
Thanks for stopping by!

IC431 Rain Inspiration Challenge

TLC469 Challenge Card
I've been trying to follow more challenges over at Splitcoaststampers. Here is a card I made nearly three weeks ago for the TLC469 Challenge. I loved trying the Doodling Technique as i got to use my new Signo Uni ball White Gel Pen. What a difference a good quality white gel pen makes. It was so easy to doodle with this! I love how the ink flows so smoothly and how great the results are with this pen. And I loved the posted example so much, I CASEd it: http://images.splitcoaststampers.com/data/gallery/500/2014/02/16/YouMakeLifeFabulousByDawn_by_TreasureOiler.png?ts=1392608043

February Cards
February is a busy month, card-wise. My 'baby' turned 10 (double digits!!), a dear aunt turned 88, plus I made thank-you's for my daughter's birthday and a bunch of cards for a women's retreat at my church. I am a little frustrated at myself for not being able to post more often, but I'm going to settle for being happy that at least I was able to make so many cards. TFL
This Popcorn card was perfect for my daughter as she was so excited to be turning 10! Stamps: TSOL popcorn2stamp, paper: Bella Blvd birthday Girl.
This card shows how elegant a card can be just by using Spellbinders Layered Elegant Swirl Die. Also used these other Spellbinders Dies: Fancy Tags Two, and Twisted Metal Tags and Accents. The butterfly is an IO Die. I also used a ticket punch and an EK border punch. Paper by Teresa Collins (Tell Your Story).
The stamps for the above cards are Our Daily Bread Design's Light of the World and the Swirl Stamp is from TSOL. I tried to make all the cards the same, but I guess that is never going to happen! TFL!
