FMS #571

I'm missing a friend who moved away recently, so I made this card to let her know that I'd really love to chat. Funny how I can't seem to find the time to pick up the phone....maybe it's because I'm too busy crafting! Adding this to the current challenge at FMS (FMS#571).

I die cut several phone pieces using the fun and bright papers from Doodlebug Designs, stamped the cute sentiment and stenciled a few stars to match the tiny stars on the phone.  Thanks for stopping by!

Supplies Used:

Stamps: Simon Says Stamp: Stronger Together
Ink: Distress: Spiced Marmalade; Stampin' Up: Tempting Turquoise

Red Grand Slam Card

My fourth and final baseball card once again came together quickly thanks to the fun Doodlebug dp. Stamped a sentiment in gray under the square which I matted in red. On a separate piece of cardstock, I stamped three alternating rows of the baseball stitching and another pennant using the Grand Slam sentiment this time. Popped up the pennant and adhered this element to the bottom of the card. Thanks for stopping by!

Baseball Allstar Card

My third baseball card utilized a baseball diamond square cut from the playful Doodlebug dp. I cut a coordinating green strip in two to border either side of the diamond then added strips of green washi tape. Once again, elements were stamped from Power Poppy's Play Ball! Stamp Set. For the bottom element, I carefully cut out just the one bat and mitt from the more complex stamped image and colored them with colored pencils. I also used another image from the set for the top element and sentiment. Finished this card off with two green star brads. Happy Baseball Season! TFL!

Play Ball!

Here's a second Baseball Card in Cubbie Blue. The cards come together so quickly when you have such fun paper to work with! To enhance it just a bit, I stamped the baseball stitching onto strips of white cs, and added some embossed stars. I cut the words out of a strip of dp, then matted them. To finish, I used dimensional squares to pop up the stars and word strips. TFL!

Go Cubs Go!

I just bought the super-fun double-cut alphabet dies from Concord & 9th. I've wanted them for so long but every time a sale would come up, they were out of stock. So happy that Hallmark was able to deliver! The CUBS logo was so easy thanks to those dies as well as two nested circles cut into a 'C'. That Doodlebug dp was so fun to use I just HAD to make a few more cards. Go Cubbies!!

More Doodlebug Design Cards

Finally getting around to posting the other three cards I made while I had the Doodlebug Design paper pad out. On this card, I added a phone cord - I tried using a die from my stash, but nothing seemed to connect the mouthpiece to the phone base properly, so I just ended up fussy cutting. I added several Nuvo crystal drops that I had pre-made. I made them in batches so that they are always ready to use. This comes in handy when I am in a hurry and don't have time to wait for them to dry. Plus, if one doesn't come out quite right, it doesn't ruin my card. I love my Nuvo Drops!!

Other: Nuvo Crystal Drops: Dandelion Yellow

I just love all the bright colors in this paper pad! Added some solids to coordinate with that busy pattern. Used some white to make the phone and the sentiment stand out a bit.

Bright and Cheery Hello

I spend so much time finding inspiration on the internet and very little time actually creating anything. This searching often results in me adding more items to my Wish List and feeling like my current stash of supplies is inadequate. Well, today's card was made from inspiration found from my own stuff! While trying to come up with an idea for my super-chatty sister's birthday card, I found this delightful paper pad from Doodlebug Design. So many bright & fun papers! I then unearthed an old Sizzix Originals Die and paired it with a Big Hello Die from Simon Says Stamp and got to work.

It was fun to pick and choose which papers to use where - they all coordinate so well! I popped the Hello and Telephone up with foam and added a few buttons for interest. The inside was stamped with a balloon string that reminds me of the long, old-fashioned telephone cords. The flower is part of the Telephone Die.

So many ideas came to me from just this little 6 x 6 paper pad! I'm definitely going to make a few more cards while these supplies are out!
